The Nigerian government will build 1,000 houses in seven northern states - Shettima
Nigeria's Vice President Kashim Shettima said the federal government will build 1,000 houses in the six northern states of Nigeria and Benue as part of a plan to ease the suffering of those affected by the conflict in the region.
The states include Kaduna, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Naija and Benue.
Shettima disclosed this in Borno when he represented President Bola Tinubu during the opening of 77 projects in the first 100 days of this period by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.
Some of the projects opened by Shettima include Shuwari school and a health center, Alikaramti school and Gamboru school both in Maiduguri town.

An unidentified video posted on the X site showed the damage to the city's buildings, and some houses were cracked.
